"The inbox is where newsletters arrive. The app is where I actually read them."

I open all emails so my favorite creators get stats credit for the open. My phone goes everywhere with me so I have access to the best newsletters (e.g. Screen Skills, Daybreak, More 🀭). Thanks for this πŸ“±πŸ’»

Screen Skills decodes Substack. Very useful and helpful information here.

I have been on Substack for years but just learned great tips for things I was unaware of.

Saves time and makes navigating the app easier. Thank you for this

This was interesting.

I only post articles from my laptop. Notes sometimes from my phone.

But I also mostly read on my laptop. On my phone I might listen to posts or read very specific newsletters. I never just browse and read entire article on my phone.

And I live in the home tab - that's where it's all happening. Quick question on that, isn't that the default setting on the app?

Then again, I'm also not really the target audience for this newsletter 😊.

Yes it’s the default setting. The article got a bit long so I’ll cover the rest in a second article

I mostly read in the email. Why? I have the smallest phone possible because I have small hands and the larger ones are awkward to hold and use. They also weigh too much for my small frame to tote around all day. The downside of a small phone is that my 75 year old eyes are challenged by the size of the screen. Hence I read in the email, or if it occurs to me, I access Substack from my browser. Reading in the app on my tablet is an option, but I default to my laptop for most things because I prefer a real keyboard to a virtual one. Yes, I know I could add a keyboard to my tablet, but what is the point in that? I'd be juggling a device and a peripheral in my lap instead of just my laptop.
